Gorilla Safaris Uganda

The gorilla is the largest and most powerful of all living primates in the world but nevertheless, its peaceful and sociable.
Gorillas live in groups of ten to thirty females and their young ones with one or more mature males, called the silverbacks. Young adult males generally live alone, sometimes joining groups for short periods. Afterward, they resume their solitary existence. Occasionally they take females with them to mate and start their own groups. Each family group live within a fairly small area. However, groups that occupy the same area coexist peacefully.

Only 32 tourists per day are allowed to track gorillas. 24 in Bwindi and 8 in Nkuringo gorillas’ family on the side of Kisolo. In Rwanda's Parc National des Volcans (PNV) covering a size of 125 Km2 of mountain forest and home to the six Virunga Volcanoes and the world famous mountain gorillas, the lushly forested slopes of the mountains form an appropriately dramatic natural setting for what is arguably the most poignant and memorable wildlife experience in the world, “the gorilla tracking”.
