4 DAYS SAFARI TO QUEEN ELIZABETH AND KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Any visitor to Queen Elizabeth National Park cannot fail to be impressed by the park’s amazing diversity. Set in the west of the Great East African Rift Valley and bordered by the Rwenzori Mountains (the legendary mist-capped Mountains of the Moon Queen Elizabeth incorporate a variety of lakes from freshwater lakes and inland salt lakes to mirror surfaced crater lakes. Here, you will find marshland, broad savannah, wetland, gallery and lowland forest.
Day 1: Transfer from your Hotel in Kampala for Queen Elizabeth national park
Meet and greet at your hotel in Kampala at 08.00 am by your driver guide who will warmly welcome you and brief you about your safari. And drive to the western side of Uganda. This drive will take you through one of the beautiful country side and will expose you to plenty of markets with fresh fruits and vegetables, banana and coffee plantation, and indigenous cattle grazing. Meet and greet Fort Portal which lies in the shadow of the enchanted Mountains of the Moon. Have a stopover for lunch before you proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park drive along the Rwenzori ranges and savanna grasslands. A game drive en-route will expose you to a wide range of animals including; antelopes, elephants, buffaloes, Hyenas, bushbucks, the comical warthogs, the elusive leopards, and if you are lucky the lions. There are over 606 species of birds found here including the Martial Eagle, Black-rumped Buttonquail, Verreaux’s Eagle owl and African Skimmer to name but a few. The primates include Chimps, Black and white Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black Faced Red Colobus, and Red Tailed monkeys and Olive Baboons.
Dinner and overnight at Jacana lodge or Mweya safari lodge or Mweya hostel.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon visits to the crater areas
Early morning cap of coffee and we set off for a game drive in search for animals. Like Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hyenas, Bushbucks, Warthogs, Waterbucks, the African Rock Python and many other animals that the park inhabits. After drive back for mid morning breakfast and relax as you wait for lunch. In the afternoon a drive to Northern crater Area, with beautiful lakes and rich grasslands which are set deep in the crater valley, this is truly the most breathtaking scenery in the park. Then take a visit to katwe salts mines one of the Crater Lakes in the park see how salt is traditionally mined, Dinner and overnight at Jacana lodge or Mweya safari lodge or Mweya hostel.
Day 3: Nature walk and launch cruise
After a morning cup of coffee you will visit the Maramagambo forest, and see the bat cave and hunters cave where we take a close look at the bats, rock python and forest cobras and the
Out standing blue lake. The same walk will provide a chance of seeing birds, and primates, tree species etc, drive back for lunch. In the afternoon enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the kazinga Channel into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest pods of Hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing, an ideal for the Uganda safari. The bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species.
Return to your place of accommodation for dinner and over night stay.
Day 4: Back to Kampala
Take breakfast and drive to Kampala, along the road you will take a stopover at the Equator for photographs. And drive to Kampala for a sort city tour and drive to Airport for your flight back home.
